Diet-promoting people say it uses their own body fat burning system to help people lose significant weight in just 10 days.  Proponents say the diet can lose weight quickly and provide someone with more energy. The ketogenic diet actually does not produce special metabolic effects. But if you want to lose weight and reduce carbohydrates, diet can help reduce your appetite.

The premise of the ketogenic diet for weight loss is that if you pull out the body of glucose – the main source of energy for all cells in the body, which obtain by eating carbohydrate foods – an alternative fuel called ketone produce from stored fat (thus, the term “keto “-genic). The liver produces a ketone body from fat, which can be used in the absence of glucose.

When the ketone body accumulates in the blood, this is ketosis. Proponents of the ketogenic diet state that if the diet is following carefully, ketone levels in the blood should not reach a dangerous level (known as “ketoacidosis”) because the brain will use ketones for fuel, and healthy individuals will usually produce enough insulin to prevent excessive ketones from forming. This is “diet keto.”


Cappello concluded that diet is a successful way for overweight and obese people to lose weight, and some side effects, such as fatigue, are easy to manage.
